68 people joined the educational visit which involved 58 students, 10 teachers, and the group was led by the Principal of Temburong Arabic School, Awang Morsidi bin Awang Haji Tuah.
The arrival of the tour group was welcomed by the Acting Director of BKISHHB, Dr. Haji Awang Mohammed Hussain bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Awang Ahmad.
According to the group representative, the study tour was one of the learning activities which involved students from Year 5, Year 6, Year 7, and Year 8 from Temburong Arabic School.
The tour activity was scheduled as an annual activity of the school co-curriculum in 2023.
Aside from that, the visit intended to give an exposure to the students about the existence of a place that preserve and exhibit the Islamic collections owned by His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Other objectives of the visit was to nurture and instill positive values within students with the motto program, ‘Membuka Mata, Menimba Pengalaman, Menjana Pengetahuan’, besides giving students the opportunity to gain knowledge that could not be obtained from school and at the same time gaining new experience.
The visit also aims to deeply understand the learning which been taught in the school subjects such as Melayu Islam Beraja and Tarikh Islam.
Experiences gained from the tour activities will be made into knowledge by the students in facing the social life community.
The visit was hoped to become an encouragement to students to produce excellence in the future, and indirectly open the minds of students about the outside world while enhancing various moral values within themselves.
The exhibition galleries at BKISHHB was reopened to the public starting on 12 December 2022, from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. every day except Friday.
